Infrared Heating Product Features

Discreet

Redwell Infra red heaters are designed to be as discreet as possible in any space they are used. You will see they are designed to blend into a room without being noticed, rather than standing out as an obvious appliance. So, for example, we have created them to be hanging pictures, bathroom mirrors, decorative objects, and even blackboards!

Our Infrared heaters are designed to be simple to install. If you can hang a picture, or put up a light, then you can install our infrared heaters.

Reliable and safe construction

We only use materials that are of the highest (aerospace-standard) quality and which meet the ecological standards for construction and disposal. All heating components are sealed-for-life and life expectancy is thought to be up to 130 years. Indeed, no Redwell unit has yet failed post-manufacture.

The core and accumulator elements are non-flammable, with a high melting temperature (of 1,315°C which is 2,399°F) which is far in excess (x10) of operating temperatures. The core and accumulator are non-conductive and there is no risk of cool-patches or thermal layering when units are exposed to sub-zero temperatures.

The heating element is sourced from the aeronatical and space industry. The element is considered to be stable beyond 100 years and is a "low electrosmog" device (which means it does not emit harmful electromagnetic radiation).

All units are protected from over-heating and its possible consequences by a CSA and UL approved safety thermostat.

The Hard Glass Enameled Surface is made from enameled steel and is the product of melting high quality stainless steel hard glass. The resulting surface is scratch and acid resistant, is colourfast and is also virtually indestructible. This adds further to the product's lifespan.

The enammelled stainless steel surface can be coated in various colors and even with decorative motifs such as our "picture wave" heaters. Additionally, enameled surfaces have very good heat reflection properties which minimise convection and maximise radiation.

Through a specialised surface powder-coating, the heater surfaces also possess "low transfer conductivity". Essentially this means you can safely touch the heater surface without scalding yourself (and there is no danger either for small children).

The Rear Panel

The rear of our panels is typically galvanised metal sheet to provide the necessary structural rigidity and torsional stiffness.

Putting it all-together

To join everything together, we use a special adhesive which is designed to withstand high temperatures without delamination or emission of toxic gasses. This helps ensure a long and stable unit life. All sheeting parts are laminated with this glue and them bonded under pressure in a press.

Frames

The frames of these units is made of anodized aluminum and are also available in white, chrome or wood.

Corners and Brackets
We can also provide hidden brackets or synthetic corner brackets for wall and ceiling installation of the heating units.

The synthetic corner brackets are available in white and grey.

CE Certification

The CE marking is a conformity marking and is an abbreviation for 'Conformité Européenne', French for 'European Conformity'.

The CE marking symbolizes that a product it is affixed to is in conformity with all relevant essential requirements, and that the product compliance has been established using the appropriate conformity assessment procedure(s). The ‘essential requirements’ refer, among other things, to safety, public health and consumer protection.

CE marking is obligatory for any product covered by one or more of the so-called European ‘New Approach Directives’. Without the CE marking, these products are not allowed to be placed or to be put into service in the European Economic Area. In this regard, the CE marking sometimes is called a ‘trade passport’, because like carrying a passport when entering a country, the CE Marking is required for market access.

Our products are TÜV, GS, CE, CSA (Canada and USA) and IGEF certified and are subject to the ecological materials test of the GSF
